-
Education.
Throughout the history of our Lake Cumberland Juneteenth Jubilee, it’s become apparent; our collective community needs more education and experiences to explore our past while acknowledging our on-going racial and cultural issues.
-
Entertainment.
Interactive education is fun and entertaining! Art, music, and healing modalities bring us together. Join us for storytelling, dance, theater, outdoor games for the whole family, and soul food.
-
Celebration.
Juneteenth is also known as Emancipation Day and Freedom Day. It is symbolic of the end of slavery. Although we collectively grieve in recognition and knowing that Kentucky remained one of the last two states to free its enslaved people, we also celebrate our ancestors and the possibility of freedom for all!
